Our client is now seeking to add a highly skilled mid-level Corporate Associate to their vibrant Corporate Department in their Vancouver office.

In this role, you will work on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including:

• Public and private mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions
• Financing transactions, including public offerings of securities
• Compliance with corporate and securities regulatory requirements relating to stock exchange listings, corporate governance, continuous disclosure obligations, and shareholders’ meetings
• Private equity and growth equity investments
• Private and public market exposure
• Joint ventures and complex corporate reorganizations
• General corporate law matters across a variety of industries

Qualifications and Attributes

• The successful candidate will have 2–6 (2024 - 2020 Call) years of post-call private practice experience in general corporate law, inclusive of capital markets experience and M&A with a national, regional, or highly reputable corporate law boutique.
• Transactional Expertise: Proven ability to represent issuers, underwriters, and shareholders in domestic and cross-border public offerings and private placements of debt, equity, and structured finance products.
• Public M&A Proficiency: Experience with public M&A transactions, including take-over bids, plans of arrangement, and corporate reorganizations.
• Excellent interpersonal and client service skills with strong initiative and the ability to work effectively within collaborative teams
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities
• Strong analytical, communication, and drafting abilities
• Above-average academic credentials
• Qualified to practice law in Canada
