Associate Lawyer - Commercial Litigation (Junior)

Currently, our client is seeking a highly talented Junior Commercial Litigation Associate to join their robust litigation practice group in downtown Calgary. The team is managing a substantial workload, which includes several large mandates as well as a variety of smaller cases. Many of the smaller to mid-sized cases are specifically assigned to junior and mid-level associates, providing them with the opportunity to take ownership of files, represent clients in court, conduct examinations, and see matters through from inception to resolution.
Their clientele spans a wide range of industries, including civil construction, oil and gas, energy, professional liability for architects and engineers, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, and various other commercial litigation matters.

Qualifications and Attributes:
- 1-2 years (2025 - 2024 call) of experience working on civil and commercial litigation matters, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution from a national, regional or reputable boutique.
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work well on a variety of teams; and
- Excellent organizational, project management, and the ability to handle multiple time sensitive priorities
- Above average academics
