Associate Lawyer - Corporate Law

Our client is now seeking to add a highly skilled mid-level Corporate Associate to their current complement of transactional experts in their Vancouver office. In this role, you will work on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including public and private mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; financing transactions, including public offerings of securities; compliance with both corporate and securities regulatory requirements relating to stock exchange listings, corporate governance, continuous disclosure obligations, shareholders’ meetings; private equity; growth equity investments; joint ventures; complex corporate reorganizations; and general corporate law matters across a multitude of industries. 

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • The successful candidate will have 2 to 5 years of post call private practice experience working in corporate law from a highly reputable national, regional or corporate law boutique.
  • Experience acting for issuers, underwriters and selling shareholders in domestic and cross-border public offerings and private placement of debt, equity and structured finance products would be considered an asset.
  • Experience dealing with corporate governance matters, disclosure issues, equity, and debt trading strategies, as well as regulatory compliance matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work well on a variety of teams.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and the ability to handle multiple time sensitive priorities.
  • Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills.
  • Above average academics
  • Qualified to practice law in Canada

Salary range: $145,000 - $185,000 per annum.
