Currently, they are seeking a junior to mid-level Corporate Securities Associate to join their esteemed Capital Markets team in their Calgary office. This role presents an outstanding opportunity for the successful candidate to hone their legal and client-service skills while working on local, national, and international corporate finance transactions, public mergers and acquisitions, and various securities law matters.
Qualifications and Attributes:
2 to 6 years of post-call experience in corporate securities law, focusing on capital markets and M&A at a national, regional, or reputable securities boutique law firm.
Experience representing issuers, underwriters, and selling shareholders in domestic and cross-border public offerings and private placements of debt, equity, and structured finance products.
Familiarity with public M&A transactions, including take-over bids, plans of arrangement, and corporate reorganizations.
Knowledge of corporate governance requirements, stock exchange compliance, continuous disclosure obligations, and general regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and drafting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Client-focused mindset.
Above-average academic transcripts.
A law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
