Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Our client is a well respected and well-known Calgary based personal injury law firm who is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join their team-oriented firm. This role requires a Paralegal who can build positive working relationships with their clients.  This is an amazing opportunity to advance your career as a Paralegal and to work in a very high performing and positive work environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with file review for privilege and relevance
  • Prepare Pleadings
  • Prepare Affidavits of Records
  • Organize and track Undertakings
  • Prepare other various pleadings at all levels of Court
  • Ordering of medical documentation
  • Communicate regularly with Clients, Lawyers, Paralegals, and Legal Assistants in a professional manner
  • Participate in a collaborative team environment
  • Track and record time
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
  • Advanced computer and technical skills
  • Knowledge and experience working with the Alberta Rules of Court
  • A high level of skill in both verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities in a timely manner
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy while working under pressure
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and PC Law
